As a director, I love creating the space for authenticity, intimacy and humor to emerge in the field.

My process is grounded in deep listening and trust: being open about my intentions, showing people why I care, and genuinely caring. I approach all my subjects with curiosity, respect, and openness, leaving space for what is alive and present in the moment to shape the story.

My background as a cinematographer and editor also deeply informs my process, as I like to be hands-on throughout the whole process, from pre-production through post. I enjoy both meticulous planning and shot-listing as well as the surrender that comes with vérité filmmaking.

I’m most often drawn to stories about the natural world and our relationship to it. I’m fascinated by the grey areas in psychology, humanity and life itself. I love exploring deeper, darker human emotions, but always come back to hope, resilience and optimism.
