I’m Sam, and I direct, produce, shoot, and edit nonfiction films. My work has taken me from the gold mines of Ghana, to the canopy of a redwood forest and high in the Ethiopian plains.
I strive to tell stories that entertain and inspire, but always with a purpose. I make documentaries that are driven by story, guided by visuals, and don’t rely on talking heads. I spend too much time on vimeo.
Currently, I produce/shoot/edit on staff for The Atlantic, and freelance as a documentary and commercial cinematographer in Washington, DC.
In rare moments of free time, I can be found outdoors.
