I’m Sam, and I direct, produce, shoot, and edit documentary films. My films have taken me across the world, from the gold mines of Ghana, to the canopy of a redwood forest and the majestic shores of Fiji.
I strive to create films that entertain and inspire, but always with a purpose. I make films that are driven by story, guided by visuals, and don’t rely on talking heads. My films have shown on regional PBS stations, Outside Television, and film festivals including AFI SilverDocs, Full Frame, DOC NYC, Santa Barbara, and more.
I was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico, although I’m most at home with a camera in my hands. I graduated from Chapman University with in BFA in Film Production, and am currently traveling from place to place, looking for projects that inspire creativity and change.
In rare moments of free time, I can be found outdoors.
